Capturing and displaying God’s amazing creation.

Size Matters

There are two ways that size matters in photography, Firstly, the size of the pictures you take, (and the rule is the bigger the better) and Secondly, the size you upload those pictures to your website.

The first of these I don’t have a problem with, I have been taking large photos for a long time, my problem has been with the size I’ve been uploading them to my website – they have been too small.

I’ve been wondering for some time why my wide panoramas were not filling the page when looked at on a computer, they are fine on a phone or tablet, but on the average computer they only take up a small part of the width of the scree, and that concerned me.

The moral of this story is, if in doubt ask questions of the people who will know the answer. In this case it was the Photocrati help team who helped me, after all, they created the theme I use to display the photos.

The result of asking, is that I now have three revamped galleries with good sized photos on my website…

The recently completed ‘Europe 2017’ (Part One), my ‘Panorama Landscape gallery’ and my ‘landscapes gallery’ have now been revamped, and there are more to come, when time permits.

Approaching Oberwesel

So, if you’d like to see how the new galleries look, and they all include some new photos as well as larger ones, then click on any of the links above and they will take you straight to the thumbnail spread of that gallery. You can then click on any photo to bring them up to full size.

Very shortly I will be launching the much talked about ‘Europe 2017 Part Two gallery’ which also has to have larger photos added before I launch it, especially as I have quite a number of what I think are amazing, panorama photos taken from Mt Rigi and the Eiffel Tower.

That’s all for now, except to say, I hope you enjoy perusing my galleries and don’t forget, you can always leave a comment – just to say you’ve been there, or to make a comment about the photos.
